Holiday Season

There are so many things that I just love about the holidays! First of all I do not have to go to school for like a whole month. Second I get to see all the family. Third that great food, presents, being able to give! It really is the best time of the year.

I got done with this semester of college on the tenth. It was such a relief to get done with and pass my biology class! I am so happy that I dont have to worry about taking that call ever again. I also passed my math class. So now for school all I have left is two years and then I can be a teacher!!!! And I can not wait!

Dustin is busy always working. He did get a new calling in our ward as the assistant scout master. He is working with the 12 to 14 year old boys. He had that same calling in our old ward so he is really excited to get more involved in this ward. I am still a primary teacher for the ten year olds. I will be getting a new group of kids soon which I am pretty excited for. I will miss having Dustin helping me with the class. 

This year we spent Thanksgiving with Dustin's mom and then ran over to Richfield to spend some of it with his dad. We did stop by my mom and dads house for a little while. just enough time to learn that three of my sisters and one of my sister inlaws are all pregnant. So by the end of this next summer Dustin and I will have 19 nephews and nieces all for just my side of the family. Pretty crazy I know. 

 On the 13th through the 16th of December my sister Sunny and I took a road trip to Glendale Arizona. It was a lot of fun and a great experience to spend that time with my sister! We went down so that she could go to Bryson's farewell (he is a guy Sunny really likes). I drove the whole way down and back up. The ride was not that bad at all. Dustin didn't like the idea of me driving in such a big city but I made it just fine. 

For Christmas this year we stayed home because I had to work, but on Christmas ave we went and saw his dad. Then went to Holden to have Christmas dinner with his mom and Kevan. After dinner we opened presents. It was really fun to have his whole family down. 

 On Christmas I got to see my best friend Shalynn Jensen and see the lights on temple square. They are so Pretty! I had such a great Christmas and was spoiled by Dustin and his mom. Dustin got me a kitchen aid! I love it so much and cant wait to be able to use it all the time.  

Fall Time

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year!  The weather is just right, not to hot or to cold! The leafs are starting to change colors. They are all so pretty. My birthday is in the fall. haha it just the best time of year. 

I am in school right now and I am taking biology 1010 and math for elementary school teachers. They are the last two classes that I needed before I could get in to the Elementary education program. I applied for the program, I went to the group interview, and then waited for my letter. Two weeks later it came. Best news ever I got in the program! 

I am so happy and relieved that I got into the program. I can finally see the need to school and the beginning of being a teacher!!! I cant wait to be teacher. It will be so nice to not have to work night at a hotel any more. To have a job Career that I will actually enjoy waking up everyday and going to! 

This fall Dustin has still been down in Holden everyday. No fun at all. But just two more years and we will be able to move down there, and we wont have to be away for each other so much. I really cant wait! 

This Halloween we carved pumpkins. I was so excited to carve them. I have not carved pumpkins for a while. I missed being able to got to the pumpkin patch back home with my family. They looked like they had so much fun. so dang jealous of my brother and sister that still live at home.

Birthday Fun

I had my birthday on October 17th. A few weeks before my birthday I was talking to my sister in law Dani and told her that I think Dustin would forget my birthday this year. Not that he does not know when it was but he and I have been so busy lately that we don't really ever get to see each other except for the weekends. Well the weekend before Dustin and I where sitting on the couch and he lend over and said its your birthday next week with a big smile on his face. He is so cute I wish I could have gotten a picture of his face. Him just saying that made me so happy.

Then two day before my birthday Dustin told me he was going to have to work down in St. George which meant that he would not get home on my birthday till late and then he would have to leave the next morning at 5:30 am. So we both decided that it would be best that we celebrated my birthday on the weekend. On my birthday I woke up and went to class at two and then to my last class at four till five. Since Dustin was not going to be home my sister Colleen was going to hang out with me after class. But when I got home I was so surprised to see Dustin's car home. When I went inside he had my favorite cake (carrot cake), some carrot cake ice cream and three roses! 

It was so great to have him home for my birthday! He didn't know that his work plans had changed till that morning so he decided to surprise me. and he did a great job of doing! haha I love him so much! He is amazing and makes me feel so loved each and everyday! 

After having a few bites of cake he took me to pick out some new running shoes and cute new flats for work. I love them! I have wanted new shoes for a while so it was very nice to get new ones. 

Then we went to Texas Roadhouse which I love! I got to have a free appetizer for my birthday. After that we went home and were just able to enjoy a relaxing night with each other. 

I also got to hear from each of my siblings as the sang happy birthday to me over the phone. Its the only day that I get to hear form all 13 brothers and sisters and my mother and father. They are the best! 

Update

Our Basement apartment 

It has been a while since I have posted anything on how Dustin and I are doing. So I thought that I would do a little up date on what has happened with up in the last year and a half. I did move up to Orem and for a year we lived in a basement apartment. It was in Orem on 1115 S. and Main St. It was so weird for us to be away from the small town so we would always be gone on the weekends back home. Dustin worked as a sales man and manager at an insulation company in Orem for the summer. I got a job at the Hampton Inn and Suite in Orem. It was super close to were we lived which was great. I started as part time on the weekends but moved up to full time night auditor faster then I thought I would.  When school started in fall we both singed up for classes and then I dropped mine because I was in all the wrong classes and decided to not do a double major. So I am Just going to do elementary education. Dustin got a new job at Pilot Doors. It didn't work with his school so he dropped his classes thinking this job would be better experience for him. He ended up hating the job and so in January he quit and went back to the insulation job but this time he installed the insulation. while he did that I went back to school and got in all the right classes to start on my journey to becoming a teacher. 

Our House

     In the middle of the school year Dustin and I decided it would be best if we found a house to buy so we started looking for a good investment a house that we could have a basement apartment in a good location. It seemed like we looked forever and finely in May we found the perfect house for us. Not to big great location with a basement apartment. We made an offer on the house and a few days later we were informed that the sellers had accepted our offer!! We were moved into the house after what seemed to be three long weeks with tons of papers to read and sign. But it was all worth it! I love having my own house! I feel so at home then I have ever felt in my two apartments. It is also good to know I wont have to go through another move for a while. Moving is the worst. The next one that I will have to do is when we finely move back to Monroe or Holden. That will be a good day to get out of the city.

    We had a great summer. Dustin got a new job. Ha also was able to work on the Salt Lake City Temple. Which he loved being able to do. He now works with the guy that he helped with that. So he goes to Holden almost everyday now. Dustin was able to go to Monroe for the 3 on 3 basketball with his mission buddies. They did  not win but they still had a blast. I had a great summer going and seeing family and having my sisters come over. at the end of the summer Dustin, his mom, and I were able to go on vacation to Yellowstone. I have been before but for Dustin and his mom it was a new experience. Which I am pretty sure they loved. I know I loved being able to go back. It is a beautiful place. On our way home we went through the Tetons. Those are amazing as well!  I am now back in school and in spring I will be in my program two years after that I will be done with school. I cant wait to get finished and teach.  
   Dustin and I have almost been married for two years. I cant believe how fast the time seems to be going. Seems like just yesterday we went on our first date. We have come so far from where we started. It will be exciting to see what will happen in the next two years.

   Also during this last year my little sister Colleen and best friend Justin Chidester got married! They actually live in our basement apartment. before that they lived right around the corner from us. It is so nice to have them so close. My sister Katie had her baby boy. Which was the 15th Grandchild for our mom and dad. He is a Cutie! My best friend Shalynn had he cute little baby boy. Dustin and I have been to tons of weddings for our friends. Its so nice to go to their weddings and be able to hear the temple sealer talk to the couples and be able to see how happy they all are. Each time it reminds me of mine and Dustin's day.

Grandma Grant and I

   On a sadder note. one of my best friends, rule model, and grandmother pasted away on march 17th 2012. Grandma Colleen Grant my dads mom.She got sick with what we all thought was not that big of a deal and she would be back to her self in no time. Well everything that was not likely to happen, happened and we all had to say good bye to her and send he back to our father in haven. There is not a day that passes that I do not wish that I could go and see her and talk to her. I am so happy to know that I will be able to see her again because we are an eternal family! 
    I think that pretty well sums up the year. I will do better this year with keeping up on the blog.. I hope! 

Our 1st Anniversary 

CrAzY SuMmEr RuSh!!!

Have not blogged forever! This summer was a crazy one. Keeping up with everything that needed to be done and going to tonz of friends weddings kept Dustin and I very busy! And life still seems to be passing by us pretty fast without letting us stop to take a breath or enjoy each other. At lest we still had a great summer with lost of new adventures with each other!

We started out the summer with moving to Orem. I started just working part time at the Hampton Inn and Suites up here and Dustin worked as a co-manager saling installation. Working part time made it so i had plenty of time and I ran out of things to do and wished I had more to do. I guess I got my wish, because in June I was asked if I would take the full time night audit. I had worked the same shift while living in Richfield. Since I really thought I needed more to do I told them that I would do it. Now I am back to getting no sleep and having plenty to do and not be bored. This also made it so Dustin and I did not get to see much of each other. Since I worked nights and went home and went to bed and then right before i would get up he would leave to go and sale since at 2 till 9 was the best times to sale. So we got to see each other from 9 to 11 every night. Not the best but that is life. 

Because we didn't get to see much of each other and we still had not gone on a vacation together, we decided that we would go to Vegas!  We went and spent about three days in Vegas together. The first night we walked the strip. That is a ton of walking to do, but we made it though it and had a great night of sleep that night. The next day we went to the Mandela bay to see the shark rife aquarium. That was pretty cool to see! Dustin pet a sting ray while we where there. We also got to see all the little shows that are on the strip at night. I really like seeing the fountains at the ??? and also at the same place the way cool flower garden.  We did many other things and enjoyed spending time with each other! which was one of the best parts of the whole thing!

Moving Time

The month of April was crazy! There was so much to do and hardly anytime to get any of it done! At the first of April Dustin got a call from his boss and he asked Dustin if he would like to move to Orem for a Management position at their main office. Dustin accepted the offer.
 So then we had to statr to look for a place to live up there! Its not that easy and for me it got old fast. On top of looking for a place to live we both had school and finails were coming up soon. School can be so stressfull exspecally when mixed in with looking for a new place to live.
 On the 13th of April Dustin found a nice basment appartment that was perfect for us. we went up there right away to have a better look and see if we could get it. That night we were able to sign a contract for one year to live in the basment appartment. YAY what a relife that we were able to get that done.
 After finding that I had to start looking for a new job. Ugh luckly the day that I put in my two weeks at Hampton, the Hampton Inn and Suites in Orem called me and told me that they just had someone put in their two weeks.
 The next week on a monday Dustin and I went to Orem again so that I could have an interveiw for the job. On our way up it was raining very hard and Dustin started to go a little fast wich coused us to start hidroplaning. EEK! it was very scary. It is a good thing the lord is looking out for us we could have gotten in to a very bad accedent. But we both there not hurt and our car is just fine. I was Just a little freacked out. 
 I did get the job! thank goodness I didn't have to go through all of that for nothing!
 The last two weeks of April Dustin and I had finals and we had to pack up our appartment in Richfield so we could be out of it by the 29th.

Work, School, and packing dose not equall a relaxing two weeks. But i was able to make it through all of it, and we made it to Orem on the night of April 29th. 

We were able to unpack things alot faster then we got them packed. I have to thank Dustin for that he is an AMAZING helper. I have Started my new job and am leraning alot fast! Lets hope that I can keep doing well at it. 

I will have to post Pictures of our new place another time. Thats the update on our life for now!

The Beginning of something Wonderful!

Thanks to Jayden Owns, Dustin’s cousin and one of my really good friends. Dustin and I meet, and had our first date on June 1^st 2010. It was a blind date. Dustin Had just got of his mission just one week earlier. It was my night off work and so I decided that I really did not have anything better to do. He did not have a car, so I went and picked him up.  We started out our date with not knowing what to do. Then we went to see one of his mission friends and then to see his aunt Tara. After that we decided to go up Monrovian. There we hiked a little and then just sat and talked. He has able to get me out of my shy shell and I talked tonz with him.

After that date he kept texting me and soon we had another date set up. This time he planed it.  We went fishing since I had never been and he loves to fish. It has great fun fishing and on my second cast I caught my first fish ever. He was a great teacher. 

 After that date we still talked and he come over from Holden when he could. I started to back away from a relationship with him. But he kept on trying (which I am very happy that he did). On our date to the Manti Pageant is when I decided I really did like him.

          In July I was able to go over to Holden I was able to go and see where he lived and he took me on a very fun four-wheeler ride up the mountain over there. It is very beautiful up there!  When it was time for me to go back home I really didn’t want to leave him.  Thank goodness he was able to come see me plenty of time over in Monroe.

          When I finally gave in to saying that him and I where together, we started to think about how things where going to work with him going to college somewhere else. I did not want to let him go and not know when I was going to be able to see him next. So we started talking about marriage. Well we had talked about it before but did not think it would happen so soon.

On July 30^th I was over at Holden and Dustin and I went on another wonderful four-wheeler ride. When we went up the mountain his boss was up there so we parked the four-wheeler and went to talk to him. He and his family offered us some dinner, but we said that we might think about it after our hike. So we started to hike. While we where hiking I could see something ahead of up but I just thought it was some one else up there.
We kept walking and could see this amazing set up picnic area.

 Dustin Asked me who I thought it was for and I told him that I didn’t know then after a while he asked me again and since we had kept walking up to it I said for us. 

 He asked me if I was hungry.  At this point I really didn’t think he was going to ask me to marry him. Because I didn’t think he had the ring. And he told me that he just wanted to have a nice dinner with me. We had my second favorite dinner. Which was rib eye stake, it was very tasty.  While we ate there was music going and there was light all around us! It was really that cutest thing that any guy had ever done for me.

       

   When we where done eating we started to take pictures. We took turns choosing what to do in the picture. 

After taking a few it was his turn to choose and he told me to just set up the camera then to go over to him. I set it up and when I got over to him he went down on one knee and took out a ring. The camera took the picture. Then he asked me to marry him. I said yes as you can see.

          He moved over to Monroe and lived with his aunt and uncle. We started to plan the wedding.

 We got married in the Manti Temple for time and all ETERNITY, on November 12, 2010! The very Best day of my life. I was able to marry my best fiend and the man of my dreams! He is the most amazing guy I have ever met. Now everyday he makes better then the last one. I could never ask for anything better then being married to him!
